Momentum is building behind the fundraising efforts with a full programme of forthcoming events, as well as numerous donations from village groups and individuals. Our totaliser is now displayed on the window at the Village Hall - please follow our progress!

The Pattingham Park Redevelopment Group is proud to announce that Pattingham drama Group are demonstrating their support of the project by allowing the project to provide refreshments and help ‘front of house’ during the next production in May. The production ‘A May Dream’ is an original play written by Drama Group member Sally Kinnell and features as part of the World Shakespeare Festival, which will see cast members attend workshops with actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon. Show your support of the Park Project by buying at cake during the interval!

A new project to redevelop the park in Pattingham has been launched with a proposal to redevelop the whole area to provide a range of natural play equipment and to better reflect the rural nature of our village.

The proposal is to replace all of the current play equipment, some of which is 40 years old, and replace it with new equipment that blends natural materials such as boulders and wood and forms a play environment which will engage children and young people with their natural surroundings. Suggestions are welcome from the community, current ideas also include some outdoor gym equipment and a fitness trail.

Our aim is invest in play equipment that will serve our community for many, many years to come. The estimated cost of the project is £50,000 and so fundraising is underway!

We are asking all the groups who use the playing field facilities, together with village organisations and groups, residents and local businesses to support our efforts to raise the required funds. We propose to have a “thank you” wall in the park to publicly acknowledge those who have contributed towards fundraising.

To launch our project, we grateful to have received money from Pattingham Youth Forum, Pattingham Parish Council, and a local businessman and hope that as word spreads of our project the whole community will be supportive. A totaliser will be displayed in the village hall and also on this website, where you can find regular updates on our progress.
